Jenny Rocha and Her Painted Ladies

Jenny Rocha is the artistic director and choreographer of the New York City-based dance company, Rocha Dance Theater.  She is also a dancer, teacher, and costume designer.  Jenny’s work and performance has received critical acclaim in The New York Times, NYPress, The Boston Globe and more.

Rocha has created 10 evening-length productions since 2001 and her work has been presented and commissioned by Danspace Project, Joyce Soho, Lamama ETC, Dance Theater Workshop, 92nd Street Y. Jenny has also choreographed off-off broadway productions in NYC such as “La Sombre,” “Shirley at the Tropicana,” “Fishbowl,” “Your Mom’s Feet” and “Juniper Queen” directed by Chris Henry.

Rocha’s current work includes her modern repertory, The Pistol Pretty Project and The Painted Ladies Project.

Currently, Jenny & Her Painted Ladies can be seen performing at Galapagos’ Floating Kabarette as well as at their own special events.
