Ed Townsend graduated from Yale University and the University of California at Berkeley law school. After a stint at a large Wall Street law firm in the early ‘70s, Ed formed his own firm to represent individuals engaged in entrepreneurial and artistic activities. Ed acted as Chairman of Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, in its infancy, and a great number of his clients are involved in the performing and visual arts. He specializes in handling estates of individuals owning artworks and/or artistic intellectual property.
